It's Confirmed?

Rob Rossi from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting today that they've learned the Pittsburgh Penguins will unveil their alternate uniforms on Saturday, November 15th against the Buffalo Sabres. This is conflicting with reports from the Icethetics.com who report that the unveiling is set for November 6th against the Edmonton Oilers (and it appears they continue to stand by this date).

According Rossi,

The Penguins had no comment Monday regarding the alternate uniforms debut date. However, they are finalizing plans for a formal re-introduction, which could include players modeling the alternate uniforms sometime prior to the Nov. 15 contest.
Rossi goes on to report that local merchants will begin selling the alternate jerseys around November 15th since league policy is for them to go on sale near their debut date, but not several weeks prior. This will be the first time since the 2001-2002 season that the Penguins will have an alternate uniform and have worn some form of black and gold since 1980.

Due to the conflict and uncertainty of dates, I've setup a countdown for each unveil according to both sources!

Personally, I'm pulling for November 6th because that's the game I have tickets for!!

PLEASE NOTE: the pictures featured in this post are of the uniform worn during the Winter Classic and NOT the official alternate to be unveiled!
