Crosby Remains Charitable

Pittsburgh Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, has once again purchased a suite at the Mellon Arena to invite a different charitable group to each home game during the 2008-2009 season. This is the second year in a row that Crosby has done this.

Yesterday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs was the first invite for this season and since it was Pittsburgh's "Hockey Fights Cancer" night, Crosby hosted young cancer patients from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“I believe it is important for professional athletes to give back to our community, and it is a special opportunity to enable people who are disadvantaged or who have special needs to experience the excitement of a Penguins game at Mellon Arena,” Crosby said.
