Tour of the Mellon Arena (Part I)

As promised, here are some pictures I took when on the Mellon Arena tour this past Saturday, October 4th (I'll post more as I have time)!!

Everyone in the tour group met outside the East Igloo Lounge where it started We were led to the locker room for the visiting team. They explained that this locker
room is very plain and is not made to be anything fancy because when / if teams



lose, they tend not to care how they treat the room or property in the room. We were told that the visiting team locker room in the new arena will be somewhat upgraded but will still be kept low key for this reason.

We also walked through the wives / children lounge which is nice, but has an "outdated" look as far as decor (still more cozy and comfortable than the visiting team's locker room).

I was thrilled to be able to see all of this, especially the actual team lounge / locker room (as you can see from these pictures, they have all kinds of signs and pictures and everything is marked -- to be that close to Therrien's office - AMAZING)!!
