How LUCKY are these people?!!
The Pittsburgh Penguins webpage recently announced that some Penguins players and coaches delivered tickets to a few season ticket holders this afternoon and that pictures and video will be posted soon!! [UPDATE] Our Captain, Sidney Crosby, was among a group of 10 players who hand-delivered tickets to a total of 35 season ticket holders around the Pittsburgh area this afternoon. Among the group of 10 players were Marc-Andre Fleury, Jordan Staal, Sergei Gonchar, Brooks Orpik, Maxime Talbot, Tyler Kennedy, Pascal Dupuis, Jeff Taffe, and head coach Michel Therrien. The ticket holders were randomly selected and this is the second year that the organization used the personal delivery "service" as a treat to their dedicated fans.
“We think it’s a great thing that our players and coaches reach out to our season ticket holders in this way,” said David Morehouse, the team president. “The success that we’ve had in recent years has been built on the foundation of our season ticket holders, and this is a tremendous opportunity to say thank you.”
“I don’t think there are a lot of teams that do this in any sport. It’s a pretty unique thing we do. As players, we appreciate it and it’s a way to kind of give back more on a personal level. I think people appreciate that,” Crosby said. “We tried it last year for the first time. It was a pretty big hit and the guys had a lot of fun doing it and I think the people enjoyed it. “I am sure they had a sense of anticipation knowing someone is going to be there, whether it’s me or someone else, I am sure they were excited,” Crosby said. “It’s fun for us to do and we know the people enjoy it. We appreciate all the support we get, too, so it’s the least we can do.”
Is it me or does Sidney look really looking lean (maybe it's the short haircut)??

The Penguins are lucky that I'm not the one Jordan, delivered tikets too. I'd have grabbed him slammed the door, and not come out till spring. At which point, all the Penguins fans would hang me from the nearest tree for costing the Pens another cup. Darn it all anyhow.
Now there, Stephanie, see what you've done to me. That's the only PG comment I can think of to post. [laughs]
