Therrien Talks About Camp (and Pesonen)!

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has an article on Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Michel Therrien discussing this year's training camp and how it will be short this year -- in fact, it'll only be 10 days from the time the players report to training camp today until the two-game series season openers against the Ottawa Senators in Sweden.

The most interesting part of the article is Therrien talking about Janne Pesonen which I think is the most we've heard on this guy (even though Therrien really doesn't say much - throughout the entire article; he's as elusive of information as ever).

Therrien also refused to divulge where he envisions using Ruslan Fedotenko -- "I want to see him with different combinations," he said -- or one of the most intriguing players in camp, Finnish forward Janne Pesonen.

Therrien said, "I think [Pesonen] will play both wings," but that "I want to see him play some exhibition games" before determining the role he will fill.

While getting Pesonen into the preseason games will be a priority, that won't be the case for most guys who aren't established at this level.

Here's a new photo of this "intriguing" player courtesy of Pesonen and the Pens - just in case we have a hard time recognizing him without the golden helmet! Thanks, guys!!
