According to Jonathan Bombulie, staff writer for the Citizens Voice and WB Penguins Insider blogger, there's a real battle being fought to earn a spot on the Penguins 4th line. Apparently, this line has been played with several combinations of 6 players:
Beech - Stone - Godard
Pesonen - Taffe - Kennedy
Bombulie believes that 4 or 5 of the above players could start their year in the NHL.
If it turns out to be true, we'd have a solid 4th line in any combination. I truly believe Kennedy is here to stay, NO DOUBT! And I would guess that Pesonen and Taffe are major possibilities. I know that people have been doubting Pesonen's abilities, but I really think that he needs time (just like the rest of the newcomers) to get acclimated to the situation as well as the size of the rink which is smaller than what he's used to playing on in Finland. I think he's going to be good from alot of the reports I've been reading (and I still think that Therrien may eventually test him out on the 1st line with Sid).
I would like to see Godard stay for the simple fact that he was picked up as an enforcer to take Laraque's spot -- we need all the physical presence we can get to make up for what we lost! I've read that Godard is big and looks like a "lumberjack" -- talk about physical presence!!

I'll go out on a limb here, and say.
No way is Pesonen gonna be on the fourth line.
