[UPDATE: According to a comment posted on TSCSF by Pens4Prez, the schedules were released to the media today but they are not allowed to disclose further information other than what was already reported on; HOWEVER, Pens4Prez continues by letting me know the Pens will play Detroit NOT 1 BUT 2 TIMES during the regular season this year due to the new scheduling format!!!] THANKS Pens4Prez - appreciate your posting a comment to inform the rest of us - keep it coming!!! This is going to be a GREAT hockey season!
Along with the release of their pre-season schedule, the Penguins also confirmed that the regular season schedule will be released Thursday.
Penguins report for training camp on Tuesday, September 16th for meetings, physicals, and testing; but on-ice practice will start Wednesday, September 17th.
Regular Season Home Opener is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th @ 7:30 PM against the New Jersey Devils.
And the schedule WILL INCLUDE DETROIT -- we'll be ready for that one, won't we?!
