TIOPS 1:46 p.m. According to a source, Orpik not being signed yet is a bad sign for the Penguins. As of about 12:30 p.m. the Penguins were having internal discussions about matching the offer Orpik had presented them.
Which leads me to another reason I wouldn't make a good GM -- I can't read the situation! I had assumed that after Hossa signing elsewhere that not only would the Pens be quick to give Orpik and Ruutu what they wanted, but Orpik and Ruutu would also be quick to sign.
I'm really failing here and everything I thought I understood is going by the waste-side!! Hopefully, I'll make out for the better and learn a few things from this current "Free Agent Frenzy"!
