- Pascal Dupuis was placed on injured reserve (IR) after getting hit with a shot at practice last week; he could possibly be back in the lineup on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers.
- Hal Gill's previously "undisclosed injury" has been reported to have been a broken finger on his right hand also from taking a shot at practice.
It appears that practice is more dangerous for the players than the actual games!
