That's So MAF (Musings of a Penguins Goalie)!

Pictures courtesy of Going Five Hole

If you recall, Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre was injured with a high-ankle sprain and out of the lineup when the team played against the Buffalos Sabres in the 2008 Winter Classic on New Years Day, so today will be the first time that he will be wearing the goalie mask he had made especially for the Winter Classic. As you can see, the mask is mostly yellow which he had done intentionally because it was still the time before when his leg pads, catching glove and blocker were yellow prior to his change to the ones he currently wears.
The mask features the old skating Penguin logo on one side and his No. 29 on the other with a blend of gold and blue colors. Fleury wore the mask at practice on Friday for the first time.

“I got lots of comments from the guys,” Fleury said. “It feels good that they noticed.”
Dany Sabourin will also be wearing a new mask especially for this occasion.

I realise not everyone is going to "get" this, but he SO reminds me of my rooster in that mask.

(pic of rooster available, just ask)

Strange, I know...
