The Pittsburgh Penguins set an NHL record for the fastest five goals in a game as five different players scored goals in a 2:07 span against St. Louis goaltender Wayne Stephenson during the third period of a 10-4 home-ice victory. Bryan Hextall began the scoring with a power-play goal at 12:00; followed by Jean Pronovost at 12:18; Al lMcDonough at 13:40; Ken Schinkel at 13:49; and Ron Schock at 14:07.
