Pre-Game News

Tonight's game is on Versus
**FREE**

MARC-ANDRE FLEURY
Fleury missed practice for the second straight day today and will be out of tonight's line-up leaving Dany Sabourin to start in goal tonight for the Penguins against the Minnesota Wild. Fleury is still being listed as day-to-day and it's unknown as to when he will return.
“It’s tough to say how much time it’s going to take,” Fleury said. “It’s a tough njury. The trainers want to be safe and not rush anything. If it gets worse then it could come back in the season. I don’t want that. I want it to be done right away and not think about it the rest of the season.”
DANY SABOURIN
Sabourin will start in goal tonight for the Penguins against the Wild. This will be his first start in goal at home in the Mellon Arena and 4th game to start (5th to play in net).
“I learned a lot from last year how to be No. 1 and what it takes, how to handle the media, the pressure and the distractions,” Sabourin said. “It’s more off the ice and mentally than on the ice. I think everybody can play but handling the pressure and stuff like that, to be a No. 1, that’s what it takes.”

JOHN CURRY
The Penguins recalled Curry from AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre / Scranton to backup Sabourin in goal tonight. Pittsburgh had reported previously that if Fleury was not well enough to backup Sabourin that they would recall someone from WB / S.

“It happened pretty quickly,” Curry said of his quick turnaround to join the Penguins. “I had a flight scheduled that ended up getting canceled so I ended up
driving. It’s a solid four hours (driving) and I went a little slower with the storm.”
PHILIPPE BOUCHER
It is definite that Boucher will play tonight, but it's unsure as to which defenseman he will be playing with since it's been reported that Coach Therrien continuously rotated the pairings at today's practice. Boucher will continue to wear #43 which is the same number that adorned his jersey in Dallas.
