On this Date in Pittsburgh Penguins History

2001
It's a sad, SAD DAY when the Penguins trade Jaromir Jagr and Frantisek Kucera to the Washington Capitals for Kris Beech, Ross Lupaschuk, Michal Sivek and future considerations. It was the day I actually vowed to never watch hockey again since they traded my favorite player (Jagr) and I lived by that until Sidney Crosby came on the scene - could you blame me?!!!

1975

The Penguins are purchased by Albert Savill, Otto Frenzel and Wren Blair.
