Even though he didn't participate in this morning's skate, Talbot skated prior to that with Fleury; with the Pens recalling two forwards and their shuffling lines with them in it, I think it's unlikely that Talbot will play tonight, but we'll see.
Four players were absent from practice yesterday - Dupuis, Talbot, Gonchar, and Fleury; Gonchar is still feeling the affects in his leg from stopping a puck in the Pens loss to NJ on December 30th and his status for tonight's game is unknow, Fleury is still not able to return yet with a fractured finger; as for Talbot, he's "day-to-day" with a lower-body injury sustained in last Tuesday's game against the NY Islanders, and Dupuis could be a possibility according to Bylsma yesterday even though I don't think it's likely ...
UPDATE on Sutton's hearing yesterday, the league decided to suspend him without pay for two games - newsday.com
AHL PLAYERS RECALLED
the Pens have recalled forwards Dustin Jeffrey and Nick Johnson from their WB / S AHL affiliate; I would think this means it's unlikely that Dupuis and Talbot will be in tonight's lineup against the Caps.

Oooooh....I do not like splitting Staal and Kennedy. I was liking Rupp on the first line, too. Again, I am trying to trust that Bylsma knows better than me.
I don't either and it's a really awesome line, but sometimes changing things up gives them a new spark (and the best times to do that is when they have players out of the lineup and others are called up). WATCH ... TK will be awesome on the first line with Sid (he has the speed and 'smarts')! They won't keep it like that since the 3rd line is so productive together unless TK and Crosby end up being phenominal together. It's nerve-wracking, but it's also AWESOME to see some players chemistry together (Kennedy is one of those players who most times gives spark to a line)!!
THANKS for posting a comment!! : )
