• [UPDATE] Kunitz's surgery was successful; it was performed this morning in Philadelphia


• Gonchar returned to practicing with the team today and hopefully he'll return to the lineup tomorrow against the Flyers (I believe I heard / read Bylsma saying it's likely, but don't hold me to that!)!!
  

  "I'm getting better and better everyday. Hopefully it will be better (Thursday)," he said. "We're going day by day. (Thursday) we'll make a decision."

• Both Talbot and Fedotenko did not participate in practice today; Bylsma said it's a "maintenance day" for both of them:

"Maintenance days and getting evaluated for various injuries. We’re planning on both being healthy. But we’ll see. They’re being evaluated and with the doctors as well."
