Off-Day Notes

  • the Penguins announced after this morning's practice that they re-assigned John Curry back to WB / S Baby Pens (which means that it's likely that Fleury will return to the ice tomorrow afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers whether it be as starting goaltender or back-up remains to be seen)

  • Fleury, Talbot, and Dupuis participated in their first practice since sitting out with injuries; Talbot is still "day-to-day" with a lower-body injury and Fleury has is using a new catching glove with extra padding
“I feel pretty good,” he said. “I have the new plastic piece on my finger that helps it out. Sometimes it hurts a little bit, but it’s not that bad.”
  • today begins the Penguins fourth-annual "Dads Trip." The players', coaches', staff's fathers will accompany them on the Pens road trip against Philadelphia and New York (today through Tuesday night). The trip began with a tour through the new Consol Energy Center.
