Pens Still Searching for Top-6 Forward

We already posted about the Penguins brief discussions with Brendan Shanahan and TIOPS is now reporting that Pittsburgh is still looking for a forward to compete for a top-6 position, a according to a "source."
The Penguins have targeted a few forwards for training camp invites. Geoff Sanderson could be one of those forwards. The Penguins are looking for additional speed and have talked to his agent. No offer has been made, just to check on his health and asking price.
Also according to TIOPS, Mark Parrish is no longer on the Penguins radar even after Shero contacted his agent since he is seeking a multi-year contract.

I hope the Sanderson rumor is nothing more than a rumor, he's a joke.

I think the Pens are sitting pretty well right now in the forward department. Depending on how Satan, Fedo, and Pesonen work out, maybe they can land another big deal at the trade deadline, or maybe those 3 guys turn out to be Petr Sykora-like and find their niche in Pittsburgh.
Right now though, I thnk they better focus on working with what they've got.
