CALL-UPS
[UPDATE] Bombulie now reports that it looks like Janne Pesonen has been called up and another player could still join him depending on Crosby and Talbot's health.
According to Jonathan Bombulie of the Citizens Voice who covers the WB / S Baby Pens, at least one - maybe two - players will be called up before tonight's game with the injuries to Crosby and Talbot.
No matter who is called up — winger Janne Pesonen seems to be the leading candidate, with center Jeff Taffe not far behind — the cupboard won’t be completely bare in the scoring department [for the Baby Pens].
DAY-TO-DAY
All three Penguins that were injured in Wednesday's game against the Washington Capitals (Crosby, Scuderi, and Talbot) have officially been listed as "day-to-day" according to Rob Rossi.
SIDNEY CROSBY
Crosby underwent an MRI yesterday which revealed that there is no significant damage to his knee; when asked about his status for the All-Star game next weekend, he said that will be decided later on but he is optimistic he will be able to play.
PASCAL DUPUIS
Dupuis did not practice yesterday, but is optimistic that he could return to practice and possibly return to the lineup on Sunday against the New York Rangers.
Therrien said that Fleury will start in goal for the Penguins tonight against the Anaheim Ducks.
SERGEI GONCHAR
Gonchar's said that he will continue to practice with the team from now on and will go on all road trips with them as well.
