Let the Games Begin!

The Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers will open the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Wednesday at the Mellon Arena at 7:00 PM.

All games except for Game 3 (and 6, if necessary) will be televised locally by FSN - Pittsburgh. Games 3 & 6 will be televised by NBC (and all games may be heard on 105.9 The X and the Penguins radio network).

Here's the schedule for Round 1:

Wednesday, April 15th @ 7:00 PM, Mellon Arena (FSN)
Friday, April 17th @ 7:00 PM, Mellon Arena (FSN)
Sunday, April 19th @ 3:00 PM, Philadelphia (NBC)
Tuesday, April 21st @ 7:00 PM, Philadelphia (FSN)*
Thursday, April 23rd @ 7:00 PM, Mellon Arena (FSN)*
Saturday, April 25th @ 3:00 PM, Philadelphia (NBC)*
Monday, April 27th @ TBD, Mellon Arena (FSN)*

I think this is going to be a bigger series than any of the others simply because of the teams involved. They just hate each other, plain and simple. It is going to be a hard-hitting fast paced game. It will be played by the definition of great hockey and I can't wait to watch!
