It's been some time since we've heard anything about the new arena being built for the Penguins (although I'v been keeping an eye on the Arena Cam); however, there was several exciting developments reported yesterday.
According to KDKA-TV news, Consol Energy has won the naming rights to the Penguins new arena so we can look forward to a brand new name to go along with the brand new building. The Penguins will officially announce the sale of the naming rights to Consol Energy sometime next week. Click HERE to view video of the news story broadcast yesterday.
And even more exciting is the fact that they will begin placing the first of the steel beams are to be going up soon as reported by WPXI news yesterday from an update by P.J. Dick-Hunt, general contractor, on the building's progress. A 200-foot construction crane will begin placing the structural foundation also sometime next week.

Thank you for the interesting post. Steel Buildings are the newest trend in market. They are easy to set up and long lasting. Furthermore they are a great money saver.
Ugh...I'm just waiting to see what horrific name Consol Energy will come up with.
