The Penguins webpage recently announced that the Penguins new home will be called the Consol Energy Center and that they have a 21-year naming rights deal with Consol Energy (to read more, VISIT THE PENGUINS webpage).
It was reported yesterday on Pittsburgh news that the Penguins will hold a news conference regarding the new arena today at 11 AM at the Marriott City Center. It is expected to be the official announcement of the naming rights going to Consol Energy.

Am I the only one who thinks that's odd, given that there already is one, in Washington, about thirty miles from Pittsburgh?
i like the move to CONSOL Energy. They have been a good partner with the Pens, and are a good company in general. At least we are not in a situation like the New York Mets with Citi Bank...
