Mario Lemieux won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer and Hart Memorial Trophy as the league MVP to become the first Penguin to win either award.


1983
Penguins selected Bob Errey (15th overall), Todd Charlesworth (22), Frank Pietrangelo (63) and Dave Goertz in the NHL Amateur Draft.
