Crosby Finalist for Messier's Leadership Award

It was announced today that Sidney Crosby is among Zdeno Chara, and Jerome Iginla who have been chosen as finalists for this year's Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award.

The award recognizes an individual as a superior leader in hockey and as a contributing member of society. It honors an individual who leads by positive example through on-ice performance, motivation of team members and a dedication to community activities and charitable causes.
Finalists are chosen by suggestions from various sources such as club and League personnel as well as the fans; however, it is Messier final decision who is ultimately chosen and the winner will be announced at this year's NHL Awards ceremony on June 18th.
