"WOW!"

That was Luca Caputi's reaction during a between-periods interview with Dan Potash who told him that the last player to score on his first shift as a rookie was "some guy by the name of" Mario Lemiuex (and that was the first and only time the kid ever smiled last night!).

Wow, indeed! How awesome was that little spitfire last night?!!! John and I had flashbacks of Ryan Malone with how well he stood strong in front of the net. I'm pretty sure they won't consider it (yet they just might knowing what dire straights the team is in), but this kid needs to remain on the NHL roster -- nothing else has worked AND MAYBE if there was a little more competition (especially with the AHLer's), some of the guys would get off their asses and work harder. I really see no motivation at all here. The only ones that ever seem to be motivated to "bring it" every game, ALL GAME are Malkin, TK, and Cooke. But three players don't win games.

Good for Caputi! Keep working hard and you'll have a bright future in the NHL!!

I agree, personally I think about 1/2 of them need to get busted down to the minors. You can't do any worse, than lose, and we're already doing that. So who cares.
