New Ventures for the Pens

In case you haven't noticed, the Pen unveiled their newly remodeled webpage the other day. The site has been upgraded to feature "a bold new design, including a new-look homepage, video upgrades, increased multimedia offerings, enhanced photo galleries and more social networking features to supplement the same comprehensive coverage of Penguins hockey that fans have come to expect."

PensTV has also been redesigned for the better as well.

Also launching October 1st (which I'm REALLY excited about as I'm sure most Pens fans are) is the new Penguins HD radio channel which is dedicated to the team and NHL news and programming which will be streamed directly on the Penguins webpage (http://www.pittsburghpenguins.com/). The Pens are the FIRST in the league to offer such a HD radio channel and is a continuing partnership with the team's "flagship" radio station, "The X," 105.9 which currently broadcasts all Pens games including pre- and post-game programs. The station's main program will be "Penguins Live" that runs from 9:30 AM - 12 noon each day.
In addition to “Penguins Live,” the new HD channel also carry “NHL Live” from New York each weekday from 12 noon-2 p.m. Pittsburgh radio sports personality Mark Madden will then do one hour of exclusive Penguins and NHL-themed content from 2-3 p.m.

The daily programming will begin with the “Daily Players’ Playlist,” from 9-9:30 a.m., featuring Penguins’ players favorite songs.

The six-hour block (9 a.m-3 p.m.) will then be repeated during the day and evening.
The station is planning to debut a "preview edition" for the Pens first preseason game on September 15th from 10 AM - 12 noon.
