[UPDATE] Off-Day Notes

[UPDATE]

Alex Goligoski participated in his first practice with the team since his lower-body injury and TK and Letang will be returning "sooner rather than later," but will not be in the lineup tomorrow afternoon against the NY Islanders.
"I think their progress has been very promising the past few days," Bylsma said. "They haven’t had a lot of practice time with the team. I think in both cases they need to have a few good, physical practices with one-on-one (battles) and just the ordinary physical contact that only comes through practice. "They are doing very well and (their return) is in the near future. We’ll see as we go."

  • Another blueliner returned to the ice today; Jay McKee skated on his own prior to practice.

  • Evgeni Malkin did not participate in practice today - it was the infamous "maintenance" day and Bylsma expects him to be in the lineup for tomorrow afternoon's game against the Islanders.
