The Penguins held an optional skate this morning and they had a pretty good turn-out taking into consideration the back-to-back games and it going into a shoot-out last night. Those who took part were Tyler Kennedy, Jordan STaal, Eric Godard, Pascal Dupuis, Chris Bourque, Mike Rupp, Martin Skoula, Jay McKee, Kris Letang, Alex Goligoski, Sergei Gonchar, Marc-Andre Fleury, and Brent Johnson.
Gonchar, in a red "no-contact" jersey, was actually on the ice for this morning's skate which seems odd, but is a good sign - he still has a lot to go before his broken wrist is fully recovered according to the Penguins website and because his injury did not require surgery he took part in some skating drills. I honestly think he and the team will benefit from his face not totally disappearing during his rehab.
