Senators GM Bryan Murray announced this afternoon that forward Milan Michalek will be out for the rest of the series with a torn ACL and that Ryan Shannon will take his place in the lineup.
Michalek is scheduled for knee surgery within the next two weeks.
From the Ottawa Citizen:
He returned with only two games left in the season after missing nine games with what was revealed on Thursday as a partially torn ACL.
He wanted to play in the playoffs, so after discussions, the Senators agreed.
Michalek hurt his knee in the second period of the first game of the series on Wednesday but he didn't leave the game.
