Pre-Game News

GONCHAR / GOLIGOSKI
Gonchar returned home to be with his wife in Pittsburgh who will be giving birth to the couples second child; Goligoski was called up from WB / S to fill Gonchar's spot.

SIDNEY CROSBY
RETURNS!!
The Penguins webpage just announced that Crosby will, in fact, return to the lineup tonight against the Florida Panthers!

TOP LINE
Speculation has been that Guerin is to be another wing-man for Sid (even though Kunitz was acquired for the same reason) and word has it that Sid practiced with Guerin and Kunitz on the wings today. This sounds good, but I would really like to see what Kunitz - Crosby - Staal could produce seeing as how Kunitz and Staalsy made a connection. I have a feeling they'll eventually give that line a try too.

MIROSLAV SATAN
Satan was officially sent down to WB / S after not being claimed on waivers yesterday. Supposedly, this is just logistics (with salary cap and all) and Shero says it will be "worked out" at a later date, but we'll see about that -- anyone remember John LeClair??

LUCA CAPUTI
Caputi was sent to the Pens ECHL affiliate (Wheeling Nailers) yesterday for disciplinary reasons and the funny thing about this was that Wheeling was playing the Johnstown Chiefs last night in town and my husband and I could've went to see him but decided not to go -- we probably should've. Caputi scored a goal in that game. I thought it was just some interesting news I'd pass along.
