On this Date in Pittsburgh Penguins History

2008The Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 6-0, and won the Eastern Conference Championship in five games. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 21 shots for his third career playoff shutout.

1996The Penguins dropped Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Florida Panthers, 5-1, and eventually lost the series in seven games.

1995Pittsburgh goalie Ken Wregget stopped 33 shots to shut out the Wasington Capitals, 3-0, to win Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
