The Penguins webpage has lots of cool pictures up today of the "arena crew" breaking down the building (I'm not sure whether or not this is something they do at the end of every season or if its special because of the Pens moving into the Consol Energy Center in the fall). Regardless, its some pretty interesting stuff!!
- they began by thawing / removing the ice
- the ice generator was turned off
- plexiglass was removed from around the rink
- now on to the protective netting and players benches
