Sid VS Hank Entertaining? I Don't Think So!!

It just may be the most entertaining head-to-head matchup in the NHL these past three seasons.

Henrik Zetterberg and Sidney Crosby. Nordic cool versus Canadian passion.

Entertaining? Are you kidding me?! Only if you're someone who enjoys seeing someone beat on a large, limp sack of potatoes!! Zetterberg is as soft as they come ... his GOALIE had to step in for him!! Give me a break!!

Granted, these two are as talented as they come on the ice when it comes to hockey, but I think Crosby puts it best ...

"There are lots of guys who play tough," said Crosby when asked if Zetterberg presents his most challenging head-to-head match-up. There are a lot of guys who don't have Rafalski and Lidstrom on the backend either. He competes hard. We both do.

Which can also be said of their infamous SC goalie who now warms the bench and is reminded of just how overrated he really is as cameras catch him looking for some action with Detroit's head equipment manager in between plays instead of seeing it between the pipes!

No, thank you!! I'd rather watch grass grow than any "physical" battles between Sid and Hank ... NEXT!!

Howard totally had to step in to prevent one of Detroit's stars from getting his butt handed to him by Crosby (who isn't exactly the best fighter to begin with).

It was a good point that Crosby made about most teams not having Rafalski and Lidstrom at their blue line.

It's very true ... I've said that about Osgood (totally overrated) and the only reason he ever looked any good was his D-men!!! I HATE Osgood!!

One thing about Flower though is that he lets in a fair number of goals BUT he has the offense in front of him that can score even more goals than he lets in. I'm not saying MAF is a bad goalie, he's really good. He's just someone that plays better knowing he can let in a few goals because his team will be able to get them back.

It is a team sport so one weakness can be compensated by another strength. Which is what makes hockey so great, shut down one aspect of a team's game and see if they can tweak something and make it work or they can fall apart. It just adds to the excitement.

I agree that Osgood was overrated. But he did get them a stanley cup so there has to be some credit. In order to get Lord Stanley you have to have some talent in all aspects of your team including goal.

As much as I'd love to see Crosby fight Zetterberg, it won't happen. Zetterberg can't seem to find his fists, he prefers to let teammates do his dirty work. I wish Howard hadn't been able to step in so that Crosby could serve Zetterberg a slice of humble pie.
