Off-Day Notes

• Bylsma gave the players Tuesday as well as today off from practice
  
• practice was held yesterday and everyone (except for Godard who is out 4-6 weeks due to a groin injury) including both Talbot and McKee who have been dealing with undisclosed injuries, but Talbot left 15 minutes into the practice (which HC Bylsma said wasn't a good sign in terms of his progression)
  
• the practice was open to a few of some special fans from (about 10 kids each from) Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh, and The Children's; afterwards the Penguins hosted a luncheon for them at the Mellon Arena's Igloo Club where the players spent time with the kids and their families taking pictures and signing autographs

“We love to do it, and it’s a big thrill to us,” Bill Guerin said. “These events never get old because they always involve kids. It’s always about doing something special for a certain child. You never get tired of it.”
