[UPDATE #3] Dupuis, Talbot, Gonchar Injury Update

[UPDATE - 1:30 PM]
According to the Penguins webpage, Dupuis is undergoing tests to make sure everything is ok, but he does have a temporary reminder of last night's hit with a large, swollen right eye - but for the most part it sounds like he's doing fine.

"For Pascal we'll go with a lower-body injury," Bylsma joked. Then he added: "He is going through a series of tests right now to make sure the structure of everything is OK. It certainly looks pretty bad but when you get cut above the eye and you sleep on it, it usually swells up and you see that discoloration. We went through some tests today, we'll do some tests tomorrow and see where he's at. He's day-to-day, possibly (playing Thursday). If not (Thursday) then hopefully for the weekend"
Talbot has a lower body injury and he's listed as "day-to-day" while Gonchar is still dealing with an injury he's had for weeks.

[UPDATE - 12:30 PM]
According to Dupuis' agent, Allan Walsh (via Twitter earlier), he's doing fine - no specifics.

[UPDATE - 12:00 PM]
Although the Penguins webpage reports that Talbot and Dupuis are among players who didn't take part in today's practice, it does not go any further to discuss types of injuries and I'm hoping that will be sometime soon (today); I'm especially interested in finding out how Dupuis is and hoping that it's nothing too serious!!

Gonchar and Fleury were the only other two players not participating in practice.

I haven't been able to find anything new on either Max Talbot or Pascal Dupuis this morning.

During the second period of last night's game against the NY Islanders, Talbot left the ice and did not return - this was after NYI goalie, Roloson, tripped Talbot as he made an attempt to "crash the net," so I assume that was the cause of the injury - whatever that may be.

Towards the end of the game, Andy Sutton checked Dupuis into the boards behind the net and the way that he was situated, Duper's head hit the boards face-first which knocked him out for a few seconds causing him to fall onto the ice as his head began to bleed. It was a nasty hit and scary situation. Dupuis was eventually able to skate off the ice into the locker room with the help of Bill Guerin.

Sutton received a 5-minute major and 10-minute game misconduct allowing the Pens to end the game with a power play (and ultimately EN goal scored by Malkin).

I found an article with Sutton's reaction at newsday.com in which he expresses his concern for his former teammate, Dupuis.
"I feel awful," said Sutton, who played with Dupuis in Minnesota and Atlanta. "I played with Pascal for a long time and I obviously never intendedthat to happen."
Sutton was honest when asked if he thought the hit was clean:
"No, Pascal was injured. I just hope he's okay and that's all I can say."

When asked if he anticipated any supplemental discipline, Sutton replied, "I don't know."
If I hear anything more about their injuries and such, I'll be sure to post it here so check back!!
