Malkin Injured

Evgeni Malkin took a puck to the hand in the first period. I appeared to me like it was his thumb.

Malkin did not return to the bench at the beginning of the 2nd period and Dan Potash reported his return was questionable; however, about 5 minutes into the 2nd period, he returned and played on the powerplay.

Steigerwald and Errey feel that some type of "contraption" was made to fit in his glove for comfort; perhaps extra padding as well.
